Happy World Sleep Day! It was great to have the chance to talk to Eamonn and Isabel (both keen sleep evangelists) on GB News earlier this week. We were discussing a story that >50% of Scots are getting fewer than the recommended 7 hours of sleep, and 40% are stressed most or all of the time.

Sleep and mental health have a bidirectional relationship. After a bad night's sleep, you're more vulnerable to feeling stressed and anxious. On the plus side, when you can protect the time and space for a good night's sleep, you can feel the benefits for your wellbeing the very next day.

Scoliosis — an abnormal sideways curvature of the spine — can challenge comfort and posture during everyday activities, particularly when prolonged sitting is involved. As the spine curves unevenly, static chairs that lack adjustable support may contribute to muscle tension, amplified discomfort, and even progressive asymmetry over time. Ergonomic seating solutions designed with scoliosis in mind should provide lumbar support, promote pelvic alignment, and encourage the body’s natural posture to minimize undue pressure on curves and compensatory muscular patterns. Features such as adjustable height, tilt, and sculpted seating can dramatically improve how weight is distributed and how the spine is supported during extended sitting.

Hey everyone, I checked out an article on stem cell therapy for muscle recovery, and it was surprisingly informative. It explains how cells are used to encourage natural regeneration instead of masking pain. You can look at it here: https://ways2well.com/blog/revitalize-muscle-function-with-stem-cell-therapy-at-ways2well . It made me think differently about post-injury treatment options.
