Growing up, a warm bath was my Mum's favourite remedy for, well, pretty much anything. It turns out that many sleep scientists have also been interested in the power of a warm bath, and this video explains why. The good news is that a warm shower or footbath can have pretty similar benefits, so if you don't have time for a full on soak, just take 10 minutes of the 'passive water-based heating' technique of your choice!
If you'd like to learn more, here's a link to the research paper I mentioned, which reviews 13 studies on the effects of water-based heating on sleep, Haghayegh et al (2019):

This is so true! I find a warm shower helps me wind down after a long day of making fun pixel avatars for my profiles.
This was super interesting! I'm always looking for ways to wind down before bed, especially after a long day of converting all my images with my go-to AVIF converter.
This is great, I always knew there was something to a warm bath for sleep! Sometimes I'm up too late messing around with my Nano Banana prompts though, so a quick shower might be all I have time for.
Totally agree, a warm bath is such a game-changer for winding down! it's like my little secret weapon after a long day of making sure my LinkedIn profile looks sharp.
this is so interesting! I always knew a warm bath helped me relax, but never fully understood the science behind it. reminds me, I still need to edit those photos for my Etsy shop, this AI photo editor I use makes it so easy to clean them up.
